Therapeutic Approach

My therapeutic approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and cultural awareness. I believe therapy is most effective when it feels safe, respectful, and responsive to your lived experience. Rather than following a rigid model, I work in a flexible and integrative way, adapting the therapeutic process to your needs, goals, and pace.

I practice from a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, anti-oppressive, and feminist perspective. This means I remain attentive to how power, gender roles, cultural expectations, migration experiences, and social systems shape emotional well-being and relational patterns. Therapy is not about pathologizing your reactions, but about understanding them within the context of your life and experiences.

My work is primarily informed by a compassionate Cognitive Behavioural approach, which I complement with techniques from other therapeutic modalities. Depending on your needs, I integrate elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS) to explore different parts of the self, somatic approaches to support nervous system awareness and regulation, Person-Centered therapy to prioritize empathy and unconditional positive regard, and Solution-Focused interventions to help identify strengths, resources, and practical steps forward.

The therapeutic relationship is central to my work. I view therapy as a collaborative process where your voice, experiences, and preferences guide the work we do together. I aim to create a space where you feel safe to explore difficult emotions, challenge internalized beliefs, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others—without judgment or pressure.

I am particularly attentive to life transitions and periods of change, including migration, identity shifts, relational challenges, emotional exhaustion, and burnout. These experiences often involve both loss and growth, and therapy can offer a space to process emotions, reconnect with your values, and strengthen your sense of agency.

Ultimately, my goal is to support meaningful and sustainable change. Therapy is not about quick fixes, but about developing greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and self-compassion—while honouring your history, cultural background, and the complexity of your lived experience.
